We have had a great few weeks here in Haiti teaching.  It has been raining a lot here but we hear most of you all are having different weather too with rain, or a warm day & the next day cold!
Teaching is going great.  We have been talking about China in my first grade class.  I brought some chop sticks for them so they loved trying to eat with those.  I was also able to share so many things that we got on our trip to Taiwan last summer & our story of going to get Lyndlee.  They loved to hear it & we also watched some of Lyndlee's Chinese videos.  They thought every child on that video was Lyndlee!
Lyndlee comes to recess everyday with my class.  She loves that & my students love it too!  She looks so cute with her school uniform on, running around with my students!
She has been speaking a lot more lately saying please, thank you, and sorry.  Her latest is to say "no way"  We aren't for sure where she learned this, Brennan says I say it a lot!  So she says it sometimes at not great times, you know when we are asking her to pick up her toys!
She is our joy & we are so thankful she is in our lives.
Brennan surprised us with Valentines on Friday.  He went to the 7-11 here & got me chocolate & got Lyndlee a sucker.  We were so surprised, I was surprised to see how much it cost but the thought was so sweet.  We enjoyed a nice valentines meal with our staff, which was prepared by a group that had come in earlier that week.
Saturday was spent with a few teachers & I going to a orphanage nearby & bringing home some babies to spend the day with us.  I chose a baby boy named Judah.  He was precious, so quiet & wanted to be held most of the day.  Lyndlee loved on him, calling him Ju Ju!  It was a great day & we were sad to see him go but know we will keep visiting him & having times where he can come over.  Please keep the orphanage in your prayers, they are in need of a new home to keep all the children.  Right now they are using the owner's house to keep a lot of the staff & all the babies.  Living space is very tight for them, their faith & trust in the Lord is very inspiring.
Better close for now, we love you all & pray you are well.  Thanks for all the encouraging and uplifting words you send to us!  Keep praying for us as we teach, pray for all our students & all the teachers here at Sonlight!
Janna, Brennan & Lyndlee Jya-Ying
